September 3 Welsh Rarebit Day

September 3 Welsh Rarebit Day

Today day is September 3 Welsh Rarebit Day, this Day is observed annually on September 3rd. It is actually a Welsh term for “rabbit”. Not unlike mock turtle soup having no turtle in it, Welsh rarebit does not contain rabbit.

Famous all over Europe, Welsh Rarebit is a distant cousin to cheese on toast, made with a cheese and ale sauce, and Welsh Rarebit Day celebrates this famous dish. Nobody’s quite sure of the origin of the name, but it’s generally believed to be a jest at the expense of the early poor of Wales, who may largely have subsisted on rabbit and ale In the eighteenth century, Welsh Rarebit was served as a succulent supper and was also known as a tavern dish.
Day is a great opportunity to try it for the first time.

National Day (Vietnamese: Ngày Quốc Khánh) is a national holiday in Vietnam observed on September 2, commemorating theVietnam Declaration of Independence from France on September 2, 1945. It is the country's National Day.

The Japanese occupied Vietnam during World War II but allowed the French to remain and exert some influence. At the war's end in August 1945, a power vacuum was created in Vietnam. Capitalizing on this, the Việt Minh launched the "August Revolution" across the country to seize government offices. Emperor Bảo Đại abdicated on August 25, 1945, ending the Nguyễn Dynasty. On September 2, 1945, at Ba Đình Square, Hanoi, leader of the communist Viet Minh organization, declared Vietnam's independence under the new name of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRVN) (With material from: Wikipedia)

August27 Just Because Day

August27 Just Because Day

August27 is Just Because Day people celebrate every year. Feel free to celebrate this day any way you choose, “just because”. Finally, you have a chance to do something without a rhyme or reason. Most often in life, we do things because we have to, or we want to, or it's expected of us. None of those reasons apply today.

Is there something you'd like to do, but there isn't a reason or logic for doing it? Well, today is the day to go out and do something "just because". It is most enjoyable if it is an uncommon, or unexpected activity or action. Perhaps, you have something in mind. If not, just go with the first thing that comes to your mind. "Just because" activities often come from a "whim" or a "what if I" type of thought. We know you will quickly get the hang of this day, and have a lot of fun with it.
Just do things that are expected or required of us or because we have to, well today that does not apply.
