September 2 Blueberry Popsicle Day
Today is September 2 Blueberry Popsicle Day, people celebrate it every year. Blueberry popsicles are a delightful summer treat, especially when they're made with fresh-squeezed blueberry juice.
Popsicles were invented in 1905 by an 11-year old boy named Frank Epperson. One day he left a glass of a fruit-flavored drink with a stirring stick on his porch. When he woke the next morning, unusually frigid temperatures froze beverage solid – hence the beginning of the Popsicle
Frank called his invention the "Epsicle," but the name was changed to "popsicle" eighteen years later.
