August27 Just Because Day

August27 Just Because Day

August27 is Just Because Day people celebrate every year. Feel free to celebrate this day any way you choose, “just because”. Finally, you have a chance to do something without a rhyme or reason. Most often in life, we do things because we have to, or we want to, or it's expected of us. None of those reasons apply today.

Is there something you'd like to do, but there isn't a reason or logic for doing it? Well, today is the day to go out and do something "just because". It is most enjoyable if it is an uncommon, or unexpected activity or action. Perhaps, you have something in mind. If not, just go with the first thing that comes to your mind. "Just because" activities often come from a "whim" or a "what if I" type of thought. We know you will quickly get the hang of this day, and have a lot of fun with it.
Just do things that are expected or required of us or because we have to, well today that does not apply.

August 26 Women’s Equality Day

August 26 Women’s Equality Day
Women’s Equality Day observed annually on August 26. On August 26, 1920, women in the United States were granted the right to vote when the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution was certified.
Over the last century, great women have proved these views wrong as the world has witnessed just what women are capable of achieving, from the likes of Rosa Parks and Eleanor Roosevelt fighting for civil rights and equality to great scientists such as Marie Curie, Rosalind Franklin and Jane Goodall. The last century has shown more than ever what both women and men are capable of achieving, given the opportunity.

So on Women’s Equality Day, let the men do the dishes and the women do the DIY, think about supporting women’s empowerment projects in developing countries, stop thinking about men and women as separate beings with separate roles and start thinking about treating people as equals.
Organizations such as Equality Now and Womankind Worldwide continue to work to provide women across the globe with equal opportunities to education and employment, pushing against suppression and violence towards women and against the discrimination and stereotyping which still occur in every society.
At last Woman give Birth to man, she is Mother, Sister and Wife, Happy Women’s Equality Day.

August 22 Tooth Fairy Day

August 22 Tooth Fairy Day

Tooth Fairy is observed annually on August 21, for helpers and to keep encouraging our children to develop good dental hygiene.
In the mid-1920s fairies were used for all sorts of health education from bath fairies to fresh air fairies as a way to get children to remember to eat their vegetables, wash behind their ears and get a good night’s rest. Like toothpastes today that advertise fruity flavors and sparkles to get kids excited to brush their teeth.

In 1927, Esther Watkins Arnold printed an eight-page play-let for children called The Tooth Fairy. It was the same year Sir Arthur Conan Doyle “proved” his claim that fairies and gnomes are real and has pictures of two little girls surrounded with fairies “verified”. So the world was ripe with imagination and primed to have a tooth fairy about to come collect the lost teeth of little boys and girls and leave a coin or two behind.
Tooth Fairy traditions are still popular today. Kids all over the world place their lost baby teeth under their pillows at night and look forward to a wonderful surprise in the morning.
