February 1 NATIONAL SERPENT DAY

February 1 NATIONAL SERPENT DAY

NSD 0001

February 1, Serpent Day is a day of reflection and coming to grips with our fears. Across religions and cultures, the serpent has been used as a symbol of evil, medicine, fertility and much more. Also a synonym for snake, February 1st observes National Serpent Day.

Serpent Day, you could spend this time contemplating some of your key life experiences and deciding what lessons they've taught you and how you could use this knowledge to improve your life in the future.

Do some research on snakes or go to a zoo to see some in person. Around the world there are over 3,000 species of snakes.

Serpents deserve a day dedicated to them; its presence is somehow necessary, what with all of the fables and stories abound with snake-inspired situations and wise or evil serpents, that have filled our culture for as long as any of our ancestors could remember.
