November 20 Peanut Butter Fudge Day

Today day is November 20 Peanut Butter Fudge Day people across the United States celebrated every year. Fudge originated in the United States, possibly by a happy accident.
The origin of fudge can be traced back to the 1800s when people used the word "fudge" to mean "cheat" or "mess up." One day, a chef accidentally "fudged" a batch of caramel he was trying to make, inventing the delicious confection.

In 1886 a letter was found, written by Emelyn Bettersby Hartridge, a student at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, referring to fudge that her cousin had made.
In the late 19th century, some shops on Mackinac Island, Michigan, began to produce similar products as the Vassar College fudge and sold it to summer vacationers. Fudge is still made in some of the original shops there today.

November 17 Take A Hike Day

Today day is November 17 Take A Hike Day observed annually.
Take a Hike Day was established by the American Hiking society to encourage groups of families and friends to get out into the wild and really get a taste of what it means to be away from it all again. Hiking is something that really helps to rebuild our connection with nature, and helps to maintain healthy hearts and bodies as well.
There is no lack of opportunity to take a hike, over 60,000 miles of trails in the National Trail System across the 50 USA.
The experience was powerful and fundamental. It seemed to me that it had always felt like this to be a human in the wild, and as long as the wild existed it would always feel this way.”
