Today day is September 7 Salami Day is observed annually, Salami is a cured, fermented and air-dried sausage that is enjoyed by many people every day.

The versatile Salami is used in many, many ways. It can be eaten by itself as a snack. Cut it into small cubes along with cheese. Or, just cut off a big chunk and nibble on it. Salami is very popular in sandwiches and subs. Salami was historically popular among Southern European peasants because it can be stored at room temperatures for up to 30 to 40 days once it has been cut.
the salami is plural of the Italian word salame and originates from the Italian word for salt. Salami is traditionally made from beef or pork which is mixed with spices like pepper, garlic and wine, though many regional variations exist.
