September 6 Read A Book Day

September 6 Read A Book Day

Today day is September 6 Read A Book Day is observed annually, a day with book for book by book...
The first celebration of Read a Book Day was around the end of the first decade of the 2000’s and was almost certainly the idea of a librarian, probably one who was encouraging youngsters to read a book.

Reading improves memory and concentration as well as reduces stress. Older adults who spend time reading show a slower cognitive decline and tend to participate in more mentally stimulating activities over their lifetime.
Today is taking the opportunity to enjoy some time out of the day to relax and read is good which calm your mind and soul. Don’t keep it to yourself. Share the experience. Read aloud either to children or to grandparents.
