March 6 Frozen Food Day
Since 1984 people celebrate Frozen Food Day Observed annually on March 6th. Nowadays frozen food is a first choice to many busy cooks. There are much kind of frozen food frozen vegetables, meat, fish, seafood and etc.
The frozen food aisle is as common in the grocery store today is a convenience. There are ATMs and self check outs. Credit for the flash freezing of fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood to preserve flavor and quality is given to American inventor, entrepreneur and naturalist Clarence Frank Birdseye II.
In 1930, the Birdseye label owned by the General Food Corporation, Clarence Birdseye continued his work with General Foods Corporation. Birdseye died October 7, 1956 but the name and products he inspired continue today.
B’coz of invention of the microwave people are more use frozen food. There are variety of family sized meals and health conscience meals too.
