Certified Nurses Day is observed every March 19th. Everyday patient are affected because of the care of certified nurses. They are very dedicated to helping others and often work long and hard hours. Certified Nurses Day is a day to honor and recognize them and their important achievement of nursing specialty.

In 2008, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Nurses Association (ANA) collaborated to create Certified Nurses Day and garner support from leading nursing organizations and governments including the US Congress.
